File PhotoDHAKA, March 1, 2026 (BSS) – Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu today said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has directed the authorities concerned to keep Dhaka-centric volunteers ready to tackle any possible earthquake. He said this while talking to journalists after meeting with the Prime Minister at the Secretariat this morning, according to a press release of the ministry. The Disaster Minister said the Prime Minister has given several directives, particularly in view of the recent earthquakes that occurred in different places last month, asking to keep volunteers prepared centring Dhaka. Asadul Habib Dulu continued that the Prime Minister has also given instructions to expedite procurement of necessary equipment and to work with other ministries to create awareness.
