The PM was ambushed in a series of early morning one-to-one meetings with European leaders in the margins of the G7 summit in Cornwall. But bloc chiefs say Mr Johnson should honour the agreement he made. Mr Johnson added: “I've talked to some of our friends here today who do seem to misunderstand that the UK is a single country, a single territory. They spoke with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Charles Michel, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel before 10am. “That is our immediate focus.”But that left the door open to the unilateral action threatened by Mr Johnson.
