LONDON: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan joined the Board of Peace on Gaza after the approval of the federal cabinet and with the hope that there must be peace in Gaza. Talking to the media here on Saturday, the prime minister said Pakistan joined the Board of Peace with the hope of bringing peace in Palestine, stressing the board will rebuild Gaza and ensure peace in the region. Pakistan joined Board of Peace under UNSC Resolution 2803. In a message posted on the social media platform ‘X’, formerly known as Twitter, Ishaq Dar said, “Pakistan announces its decision to join the Board of Peace (BoP) in support of the Gaza Peace Plan under UNSC Resolution 2803”. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif joined other world leaders on Thursday in signing the founding charter for the “Board of Peace,” a new international body chaired by US President Donald Trump.
