Nike PopoolaThe Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate has paid another instalment of the outstanding 33 per cent pension increase to federal retirees under the Defined Benefit Scheme. Police pensioners were paid 12 months’ arrears making a total of 24 months payment from previous instalment, but still have 18 months outstanding. Civil Service pensioners got six months’ arrears from the latest instalment, making a total of 30 months till date. Parastatal pensioners were paid six months’ arrears in the latest instalment, making a total of 18 months received so far. However, they have outstanding 36 months’ pension to collect.
