Many car accidents which occur nationwide during the holidays may be attributed to drunk driving. While some states have shown higher rates of drunk driving-related reports, Pennsylvania isn’t among them. Pennsylvania was found to have the seventh lowest rate of drinking driving in the United States. Then there were the worst states: Montana topped the list in first with 8.57 drunk drivers involved in fatal crashes for every 100,000 licensed drivers around, and over 44 percent of traffic deaths being caused by intoxicated motorists. “According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 or higher is illegal in all 50 states, except in UTAH where the BAC limit is 0.05.
