The Pabna Bus Owners and Workers Association announced the indefinite suspension of bus services from 9pm on Thursday. Pabna District Motor Owners Group President Habibur Rahman Habib said bus workers in Shahjadpur, Sirajganj, have been frequently beating coaches and bus drivers of Pabna for no reason. The owners and workers of Pabna did not get any result after seeking help from the concerned authorities. In protest of the incident, Pabna Bus Owners Association and District Motor Workers Union have stopped all Dhaka bound buses from Thursday night. Pabna Deputy Commissioner Kabir Mahmud said the administration is trying to resolve the transport strike on the basis of discussions with owners and workers of Sirajganj and Pabna.
