Quresh­i discus­ses 'politi­cal settle­ment' with US specia­l envoy for Afghan­istanForeign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday reiterated the Islamabad’s support for a political solution to the Afghan war, Radio Pakistan reported. The foreign minister welcomed US’s emphasis on “effecting a political statement in Afghanistan” and added that Pakistan always believed there was no military solution to the conflict. The US envoy thanked Qureshi for his support and said he looks forward to working with Pakistan for peace and stability in in the war-torn country.
