Palantir Pays $1.7 Million to Settle Discrimination Suit


Palantir Technologies has agreed to pay $1.7 million to settle a Labor Department lawsuit alleging that the data-mining firm discriminated against Asians in hiring. As part of the settlement, which the Labor Department announced Tuesday, Palantir will offer jobs to eight people who were affected by the alleged discrimination. The financial award will be paid partly in back wages and stock options, the department said.
