IPOH: A parang-wielding man ran amok and injured a Rakan Cop member at Taman Sri Intan, Menglembu here. Supt Abdul Rani said Yeong had sustained an 8cm-long cut on his arm and was being treated at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital. "Earlier, the Rakan Cop members had received a call about a man running amok there and proceeded to the area. "The man was smashing up car windows as the members tried to calm him down," he said. Supt Abdul Rani said the man, who has five previous criminal records, was eventually apprehended by the members and was arrested shortly by the police.
