As Christmas draws nearer, more parcels are being stolen from letter boxes and doorsteps minutes after they're delivered. Waikato police are warning locals to be vigilant amid the increase over recent weeks. It's been happening for a while overseas and it's something that's caught on locally, Waikato police Senior Sergeant Kristine Clarke said. On Tuesday morning, a pair were arrested in relation to some of those parcel thefts in north Hamilton, Clarke said. Anyone who wants to report a theft can call 111 if it's happening at the time or 105 if it's already happened.
