Parsons to the fore as Ireland keep quarter final hopes aliveBallinasloe's Beibhinn Parsons grabbed two tries as Ireland enjoyed a resounding 38-0 victory over South Africa in the Olympic Games Women's Rugby Sevens this evening. It was a key win after Ireland lost their opening Pool B game this afternoon against Great Britain. Parsons scored tries in both halves, including Ireland's opening score, as they notched six tries in a comprehensive win. Ireland now face a huge test against all-conquering Australia in their final Pool B game tomorrow. With the top two from each of the three pools qualifying for the quarter finals, along with the best two of the three third placed teams, Ireland's prospects of reaching the quarter final are still alive.
