Part of Santo Niño Bridge in Parañaque closed for repairs starting Aug. 27

MANILA, Philippines — The southbound lane of the Santo Niño Bridge in Parañaque City will be closed for rehabilitation starting Thursday, Aug. 27, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said in a statement on Wednesday. A two-way zipper lane will be placed at the northbound lane of the bridge to curb possible heavy traffic in the area. ADVERTISEMENTRepairs aim to strengthen the old bridge, which lies on Ninoy Aquino Avenue. The road is often used by motorists going to and from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and those moving from Manila to Sucat in Parañaque. The DPWH urged southbound motorists to take alternate routes, like using the Coastal Road, Quirino Avenue, and MIA Road .
