DEPUTY Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Sulaimon Lasun Yussuff has urged members of the Society of ‎Engineers to engage and participate actively in politics. Hon Lasun also stated further that Society of Engineer should make themselves relevant in the nation’s building and the only to do this is by involving in politics and governance. “I ‎urge you the engineers not to leave politics in the hands of charlatans, it is in the interest of the nation that the society be more active in politics”. “I appeal to you to always stand by your point and what you believe in especially in your area of specialization so that society can take engineers more seriously. Please for the sake of generation yet unborn maintain your stand and help re-engineer the nation through your experience,”‎ he stated.
