All observations are valuable because Cornell University’s eBird database receives less information during the summer. If possible, focus on these locations to submit eBird checklists:1. Areas with few observations of a specific species – what bird species is common in your area? Can I still participate in The New York Times project if I already use the Merlin or eBird app? Why do I need to register with The Times if I’m going to submit my data to Cornell’s laboratory?
