"Even higher amounts of snow may be possible, up to 40 centimetres, in some locations due to extra moisture coming off Lake Ontario. Blowing snow and northeast winds gusting at near 50 km per hour will result in "very poor visibility." Earlier, Brian Owsiak, a severe weather meteorologist with Environment Canada, said the snowfall began around 7 p.m. #OPP have received reports of multiple collisions in Southern Ontario overnight and this morning.
