more-inA 38-year-old woman sustained serious injuries after falling off a train at the Pettah railway station on Tuesday. According to the police, Amina, a native of Cherpulassery in Palakkad, had her right arm partially severed after falling on the track while disembarking from the train, Mangalore Express. The incident occurred by around 4.40 a.m. when the train began to move and continue its journey to the Thiruvananthapuram Central railway station. She is believed to been the last one among the group to alight from the train. The train was brought to a quick halt, but not before a wheel ran over her arm.
