Several patients at St. Peter's Hospital have been relocated in the building after a fire broke out in a unoccupied storage area of the hospital on Sunday at about 9:15 a.m. Patients on the second to fourth floors were relocated to the first floor. The Hamilton Police Service said the fire is under control but smoke remains to be a problem. The Hamilton Fire Department said the smoke migrated to the occupied portions of the building. St. Peter's Hospital, located at 88 Maplewood Ave., is a palliative care hospital for seniors and people with chronic illness.
