Pedestrian, 80s, suffers serious injuries following Longford crash


A man aged in his 80s had been seriously injured following a crash in Co Longford. The crash, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Main Street, Ballymahon. The pedestrian was removed from the scene to Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore, for treatment of injuries that are believed to be serious. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators will conduct a technical examination of the scene on Tuesday morning.
