A Pennsylvania man has admitted to the 1987 cold case murder of an 85-year-old woman after DNA linked him to the gruesome crime, investigators said Tuesday. The case remained cold until 2018 when investigators sent the same DNA evidence that exonerated the family member to Parabon Nanolabs for genetic genealogy analysis. The results identified common ancestors of the DNA, revealing two surnames of Laughman and Speelman, FOX43 reported, citing court documents.
