BHS collapsed into administration with the loss of about 11,000 jobs just over a year after Mr Chappell’s Retail Acquisitions consortium bought it from Sir Philip Green for £1 in March 2015. The chain has since disappeared from the high street. The regulator is prosecuting Mr Chappell for allegedly failing to comply with three notices requesting information issued under the Pensions Act in April and May last year and February this year.
