A man has been jailed for three and a half years for trying to smuggle five Iraqis into the UK hidden in cabinets in a van. Huzaifa Hasan Musa, 22, from Scunthorpe, was stopped by UK Border Force officers in Coquelles, near Calais, in February last year. Officers searched the furniture-filled van and found a woman and child in one cabinet and three men in another. Musa said he had been visiting family in Dunkirk and did not know how the stowaways got on board but was found guilty at Canterbury crown court of assisting unlawful immigration into the UK.
