VISIT Perak Year 2017 has a promising start with the state government planning to cement a friendship with China’s special administrative region - Macau. Through the Chinese city’s media giant Macau Media Group, the government-linked company spent four days in Ipoh during Chinese New Year to collect footage and pictures to promote Ipoh to China nationals. Group chief executive Ke Jiangang met with state Tourism, Arts and Culture committee chairman Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi to discuss better collaboration between both cities. During the meeting, Ke proposed to work together via media outlets, highlighting television and newspapers specifically. The delegates from Macau Media Group arrived in Ipoh on Jan 29 and they are leaving today.
