Yet, he is expected to be named in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad announcement ahead of two World Cup 2026 preparation fixtures later this month. Meanwhile, the general consensus is that the World Cup this summer will come too soon for Dowman and he is therefore expected to miss out on the upcoming friendlies.
