Phoenix Pulse intensifies its backcourt for Season 45 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) after acquiring energetic guard Sol Mercado from Northport in exchange of point guard LA Revilla and forward Rey Guevarra. Phoenix team governor Atty. Raymond Zorilla confirmed to The Manila Times on Monday that the one for two players transaction was just approved by the PBA. “That’s already approved just now,” said Zorilla, adding that the inclusion of Mercado would provide a different kind of attitude to the Fuel Masters under the tutelage of coach Louie Alas. “Given our last season’s performance, we just wanted to tweak our roster that will give us a different attitude.”Mercado’s arrival will provide Phoenix some championship experience.
