Mr Andrews (49) died when the Hughes 500 he was piloting crashed in the Glade Valley on December 15, 2013. ''I would seek that information, talk to the optometrist and depending [on the result of that] discuss with the CAA medical unit.'' Mr Parkes believed his 2012 diagnosis would not have caused any sudden change in vision mid-flight. Pathologist Roland Lass examined Mr Andrews on December 16, 2013 and determined the cause of death was ''massive, traumatic injuries''. He believed if Mr Andrews had suffered a pulmonary embolism he would have been able to see that and ''there was none''.
