The head of Disney Animation will take a six-month sabbatical after stating he has unintentionally made staff members feel ‘disrespected or uncomfortable’Disney Animation head John Lasseter will take a six-month leave of absence after confessing to unspecified “missteps”. “I’ve recently had a number of difficult conversations that have been very painful for me,” he writes. “It’s never easy to face your missteps, but it’s the only way to learn from them. Lasseter was named chief creative officer of both Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios in 2006. News of Lasseter taking a leave of absence follows on from Jeffrey Tambor stepping down from his role in Transparent over reported inappropriate behavior and CBS deciding to cut ties with Charlie Rose after reports of misconduct.
