The Plateau State government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hospital Assist Nigeria Limited to improve services provided by the Plateau Specialist Hospital. He said, when revamped, the hospital’s radiology department would offer 24 hours services at an affordable rate to all citizens of the state. He said though N850 million would be expended on the revamp, government would only contribute 30 per cent of the funds. Meanwhile, the newly constructed maternity complex in Arugungu General Hospital, Kebbi State, waiting to be commissioned next month, has been gutted by fire. The governor, who visited the scene, warned government officials against negligence and lack of concern towards property entrusted in their care.
