Plea seeks ‘liberal marks’ for students


more-inA public interest litigation (PIL) has been filed in the Delhi High Court seeking a court-monitored probe into the CBSE paper leaks saying that students and parents apprehend that the agencies investigating the case are “not serious”. The petition, filed by Delhi-based NGO Social Jurist, has further sought direction to CBSE to consider giving “liberal marks” to students who will be re-appearing in the examination. Mr. Agarwal said that “irreparable loss and injury” has already been cause to over 28 lakh students who had appeared for the Class 10 and Class 12 examination. ‘Widespread anger’“There is widespread anger among students and millions of parents. The CBSE had announced that Class 12 economics paper re-test will be held on April 25, while the Class 10 mathematics paper re-test, if required, would be conducted only for Delhi-NCR and Haryana in July.
