Jewel is accused in five cases at three police stationsPolice arrested a member of banned militant outfit Hizb ut-Tahrir from the Chouhatta area of Sylhet Sadar upazila. Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Jewel Ahmed, 26, on Monday afternoon, said Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Jedan Al Musa of Sylhet Metropolitan Police. He added: "Jewel was a fugitive from a case filed earlier with Kotwali police station. He had previously secured bail twice in separate cases." He is also accused in four other cases with three police stations.
