Police bosses meet to plan security during polls

The meeting of regional and county commanders comes in the wake of fears of violence as the polls approach. National Intelligence Service boss Philip Kameru is expected at the official opening of the meeting at Safari Park Hotel. Officials say the meeting will assess the various strategies that have been laid to see if they are working. Boinnet said the police bosses have been holding regular meetings with other national security agencies "to create synergies and develop contingency plans".
