A Southeast Asian man was arrested on Tuesday following a high-speed car chase involving the police between Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong and Hung Mui Kuk Road in Tai Wai. The Mercedes-Benz police were chasing crashed into five other vehicles, resulting in one person being injured. It is understood the driver of the Mercedes-Benz refused to stop for the officers and fled the scene, initiating the chase. He was arrested for furious driving, driving without a license, and driving without third party insurance. The Transport Department said that, due to the accident, part of the lanes of Hung Mui Kuk Road near Tin Sam Street is closed to all traffic and that traffic in the area is heavily congested.
