According to the Service, the incident did not occur in Ghana but in Nigeria. The child and his mother have also been taken to a police medical facility in Otta for medical care and evaluation. The child, in the same video, was seen approaching his father for a hug before being struck to the ground. The video, however, triggered anger online, with many users tagging the Ghana Police Service and CVET, prompting authorities to verify the location and circumstances leading to the abuse.
