A police campaign against e-mobility and cycling offenses in the New Territories saw 98 tickets dished out to cyclists and 26 people arrested for riding e-mobility devices. The operation is part of a long-running police campaign - Operation Goldensun. Police said they arrested 26 people, aged between 19 and 62, for the full slate of four e-mobility charges: riding without vehicle registration, insurance, license, or helmet. Officers also confiscated seven e-scooters, 15 electric bicycles, three electric monowheels, and one electric tricycle. “The police attach great importance to road safety and will continue to take relevant enforcement actions to protect the safety of other road users,” said a police statement.
