Police entered JMI’s campus without permission: Vice ChancellorProfessor Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia narrated the incident that took place in the university and asserted that the police entered the campus without permission. Speaking to ANI, Najma Akhtar said, “Students of Jamia didn't give call for today's protest. I've been told that a call was given from colonies nearby Jamia to march towards Jullena. They clashed with police and got inside campus after breaking gate of the University.” “Police couldn't differentiate between the protesters and students sitting in the library. There was so much ruckus that police couldn't take permission,” she further added.
