Mr Levin Mwandi, formerly director of logistics in the police service, said that he could not tell whether the items supplied by Sound Day Corporation fell under the Anglo Leasing E-Cops project, or related to other contracts the firm was also engaged in with the police. Sound Day Corporation had been supplying police equipment since 1993, and had most of the contracts spanning over a period of time. The firm continued to supply police equipment up to 2006. Mr Mwandi said the police equipment to be supplied under the Anglo Leasing E-Cops project had been prepared under the leadership Police Commissioner Edwin Nyaseda. He told court that he was unaware of the Anglo Leasing E-Cops project until the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission requested for all the documents relating to the contract.
