Two police officers attached to the traffic department of Kajiado County have been charged with being in possession of money suspected to been received from motorists as bribes. Meanwhile a driver of private motor vehicle was accused of giving a Sh100 bribe to one of the two police officers. Defence lawyer Cliff Ombeta applied to have all the three accused admitted to bail saying they are not a flight risk. They police officers and the driver were arrested on November 22, 2016 along the Magadi-Kiserian Road and detained in custody until they were presented in court. The police officers were released the officers on a cash bail of Sh15,000 each while Mr Gicobo was admitted to a cash bail of Sh10 000.
