Yakadi gave the assurance during a stakeholders’ meeting held at Imaguro High School, Benin, on Wednesday. According to him, the meeting was convened to work out modalities on how best the police working with sister security agencies can work towards creating a peaceful atmosphere for the election. He said, “The role of the Independent Electoral Commission is to be fair to all political parties during the election. He also enjoined security agencies to be professional by ensuring neutrality throughout the period just as he appealed to political parties to educate their supporters on the need to conduct themselves appropriately. Party representatives who also spoke during the event appealed to security agencies to be fair to all.
