The session was organised by Roy Transmotors at its premises in Ruaraka, Nairobi, as part of efforts to bring sanity to the boda boda business. Mr Omijah said tough measures were necessary to control the industry. According to Mr Omijah, in the last eight months, 334 boda boda riders and 131 passengers have been involved in fatal accidents. The police have complained that the boda boda business is a headache for them as most of the riders lack basic training and safety equipment.
