Police have decided against laying charges after two Wellington City councillors faced threats on social media for their vote on the Shelly Bay development. “You will fail to make yourself safe in our lands until you do right by [Shelly Bay],” the quote said. Her original statement to police remained on file and “I won’t hesitate to contact them further if [Dr] Love makes further threats”, Day said. Dr Love said the media needed to avoid becoming tools for political interest.
