KUALA LUMPUR: The police’s e-reporting facility for non-crime-related cases is expected to be expanded nationwide in the near future. The facility, which allows the public to lodge reports online and print them out from the comfort of their own homes, was first initiated at the Taman Tun Dr Ismail station in March. It was then expanded to the six districts under the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters, and now across the Klang Valley. When asked if the system’s nationwide expansion will take place at the end of the year, Khalid said existing infrastructure must be assessed before a decision can be made. "As we improve on the infrastructure, we will be able to expand on the service," he said.
