Political office holders in Kebbi State led by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) rose from its deliberations, on Monday, and unanimously agreed to donate half of their June salaries to the state government as part of their contribution to tackling banditry in the state. The SSG, Alhaji Umar Babale Yauri stressed that the political office holders gesture can not come at a better time than this when all hands are on deck to confront the menace of banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and other act of criminality in the state. He expressed that the urgent restoration of peace in the state is the only panacea needed for socio-economic development the state needed for now.
