We now live in a time where scientists are the new rock stars. The first syringe of vaccine going into the arm of Margaret Keenan yesterday was an incredible, historic event. It’s clear who deserves the biggest applause though – the scientists who have pulled off this astonishing, glorious, stupendous achievement. Never mind pulling a pop star, from now on the real groupie badge of honour will be boffing a boffin. They’re not just rock stars, they’re superheroes.
