A former Police officer Linda Okello has won Sh6.5 million in a case filed against the Standard Media Group over improper use of her image and likeness and the use of image for commercial and or publicity. Okello filed the case against the media group at a High Court in Nairobi in 2014. Justice Asenath Ongeri granted her prayers in the case dealing a blow to the Standard Media Group. Justice Ongeri also issued a mandatory injunction for the Standard Media Group to publish an apology.
