He particularly lambasted the administration for its failure to sustain power supply, attributing recent outages to the previous Mahama administration and saying they confirm his “bad record” in power management. Professor Nyarko stated that the ongoing power crisis, popularly dubbed “Dumsor”, is a result of the NDC’s poor governance. During President Mahama's previous tenure, he became known for these continuous power outages. At 69 years, instead of us moving forward, this present government is dragging us backwards,” Professor Nyarko added. Professor Nyarko urged the government to take immediate action to address both the power crisis and the economic challenges.
