KUALA LUMPUR: The wife of a salesman is challenging the 21-day remand order against him under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 (Poca). In the certificate of urgency, Magaswarie's counsel P. Uthayakumar said Vishnu Moorthy was wrongly detained without trial under Poca. Vishnu Moorthy, now detained at the Jalan Tun Razak police station, said he is not satisfied with the magistrate's order on March 29 and asked for the court to dispose the case as soon as possible. Uthayakumar said Vishnu Moorthy was denied his rights to meet his counsel although three letters were sent to Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, who has not replied. The appeal was filed in the High Court registry here via Messrs Kumar Hashimah & Co.
