Releasing the preliminary results of the just ended Presidential Run-off Election on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the headquarters of the Commission, NEC Chairman Cllr. Jerome George Korkoya announced that Senator Sen. Weah obtained 720,023 votes, which is equivalent to 61.5% of the total valid votes cast. According to the NEC boss, the results released represent 98.1% of all 5,390 polling centers across the country. “The results we are releasing represent 5,286 polling centers of the 5,390 polling centers nationwide. And that number represents 98.1 percent of the total polling centers across the country,” said Cllr.
