Preparations for the month-long book fair have already begun at the Bangla Academy premises and at Suhrawardy Udyan. Visiting the locations, this correspondent found that frames for the set up of stalls were in process of being put up. “The construction work at the Bangla Academy premises began in late December, while the building of frames for the stalls began at Suhrawardy Udyan from Jan 4,” said Mohammad Ali, who is leading the workers at Bangla Academy. Bangla Academy Director and Book Fair Organizing Committee Member Secretary Jalal Ahmed said this year’s fair is being organized under the theme: “Bijoy: 1952 theke 1971 and noboporjay”.
