Duterte is all set for Laos tripPresident Rodrigo R. Duterte is set to embark on his first foreign visit Aug. 23-30, with stops in four neighboring countries ahead of his trip to Laos next month for the annual summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a Malacañang official announced Tuesday. “We are still finalizing the recommended Aug. 23-30 ASEAN trip,” said Andanar, adding that the President hasn’t approved it yet. Sonny [Dominguez] will convince PRRD to go to Malaysia and other ASEAN countries before the Laos trip,” according to Andanar. Special Assistant to the President Secretary Christopher Go earlier confirmed Duterte will fly to Vientiane, Laos next next month for the turnover of the chairmanship of the ASEAN. Yesterday, Razak welcomed the planned visit soon to Malaysia of Duterte.
