President Duterte condemns Bastille Day terror attackPresident Rodrigo R. Duterte has condemned the Bastille Day terror attack in the in the southern French city of Nice, in which scores of people were killed. In a video video message released Saturday, Duterte also joined other nations of the world in mourning with the French and expressing solidarity in the fight against terrorism. “We condemn the brutal and violent way that the people were run over by a truck, a terrorist act,” he added. The president, likewise said: “Rest assure we join you in your fight against terrorism.”On Friday, a 20-ton truck plowed into a crowd of revellers celebrating Bastille Day in the coastal city of Nice, killing at least 84 people. French President Francois Hollande declared the incident as a “terrorist” attack.
