President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday joined mourners at the burial of Mzee William Gatuhi Murathe at his farm in Gatanga, Murang’a County. Speaking at the funeral service at PCEA Kirwara Church, President Kenyatta eulogised Mzee Murathe, who was a prominent businessman from Murang’a, as a hardworking man who played a leading role in community development. “Murathe is an excellent example of how to give back to society because he devoted his time and resources to improve the community,” Kenyatta said. The late Murathe was the father of Jubilee Partys' Vice-Chairman and former Gatanga MP David Wakairu Murathe. He also praised Murathe’s business acumen that saw him excel in all the enterprises he ventured into.
